The TTV lightened flywheel replaces the original dual-mass Cooper S flywheel. Replacing the standard flywheel for a lightened one reduces the rotational mass of the engine. This lets the engine rev faster thereby improving the response throughout the rev range. The result of all of this is a MINI that feels and responds much quicker without having to change any other performance parts. The TTV flywheel only fits Cooper S variant MINIs with a manual gearbox.

The standard flywheel on a Cooper S is 12kgs; this TTV flywheel is 4.9kgs and is manufactured from lightweight billet steel. Dynamically balanced to eliminate vibration and featuring integral teeth, this is a perfect upgrade that will suit the standard diameter clutch. When fitting you will also need to up rate the clutch drive plate to a sprung version. Please see our performance clutch kits and drive plates for a solution.

It is highly recommended that you fit a sprung drive plate with this flywheel.
